Sarah is a lifelong Alaskan, born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska. Sarah completed her Master’s
Degree in Social Work at Boston College in 2001. Since graduating she has provided mental
health services to adults, adolescents, and families in a variety of clinical contexts. Her therapy
practice includes working in outpatient, inpatient and residential treatment settings. She also has
years of experience working at Southcentral Foundation assisting Alaska Native and American
Indian individuals and families.
Sarah enjoys working with adults, couples, families, and teens. Sarah draws from a diverse
range of therapeutic practices including EMDR, an evidence-based trauma therapy, Mindfulness
Based practices, Solution Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She specializes
in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, grief and loss and life transitions. She is
passionate about assisting individuals and families to live healthy and fulfilling lives.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys hiking, cross country skiing, yoga and spending time with her
family and their dog
