Psychology Resources

Marie Priest, M.S., L.P.C.

Marie has over 16 years of experience in Alaska providing quality mental health treatment for children and families as a board licensed professional counselor. She has also provided mental health consultative support to the Head Start program of Anchorage, as well as numerous other agencies in the Anchorage and Kenai area that provide mental health care and supports for emotionally struggling children and families.

Psychology Resources is very pleased that Marie has worked in our clinic for over 10 years. She loves working with families, parents, children, teens, and teens as they transition into adulthood. Marie’s excellent skills are particularly appreciated by youth experiencing grief and loss challenges, struggling with anxiety or depression, ADD/ADHD, friendship and relationship issues, OCD, Autism, highly gifted and struggling with perfectionism, etc..

In addition to her excellent clinical skills, Marie is a life-long Alaskan and very proud of her family’s background as early pioneers to Alaska. Her maternal grandmother’s family came to Alaska by steamship in the 1930’s to farm the Matanuska Valley. Her paternal grandparents homesteaded in Soldotna, helping to found the community where Marie was born and raised. She and her husband are raising their three children with the values handed down by those trail blazing roots. Their family continues to hunt, fish, camp and adventure in the great Alaskan outdoors.
