Tenecia Lockard, L.C.S.W.

Tenecia Lockard was born and raised in Anchorage, AK. She graduated from East High School in 2002 and went on to earn her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2013. Tenecia has diverse experience in both the private sector, specifically with the State of Alaska Division of Juvenile Justice, and in the nonprofit sector.
Tenecia employs a strengths-based, solution-focused approach in her work with adolescent clients who face co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. She has extensive experience working with both adolescents and adults and specializes in areas such as trauma, depression, anxiety, neurodevelopmental disorders, conduct-disordered behaviors, emotional disturbances, behavioral dysregulation, and substance abuse. Tenecia is skilled in connecting with both men and women, making her a versatile asset in the therapeutic field.
Outside of her professional life, you can often find Tenecia in a gym. As a former basketball player, she enjoys cheering for her husband, who is a coach, as well as supporting their three boys who are also involved in sports. Tenecia loves writing poetry, being her children’s number one fan, and traveling with her husband.
