Megan Lang, PMHNP-BC
Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Megan Lang is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a deep commitment to holistic mental wellness. Originally from Washington State, Megan earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Western Washington University before making Alaska her home in her twenties. She later pursued a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Alaska Anchorage and, more recently, went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing at Gonzaga University, specializing in psychiatric mental health.
With more than 20 years of nursing experience in Anchorage, Megan has held a variety of RN positions, including home health care nursing with Southcentral Foundation and orthopedic case management at the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium. Megan has always been intrigued by the role mental wellness plays in positive health outcomes for patients. This interest, combined with her background in communication, motivated her to pursue a graduate degree in mental health.
In her practice, Megan offers compassionate, evidence-based care through comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapy. She treats a range of mental health conditions, including ADHD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and trauma-related disorders.
Megan’s approach is grounded in empathy, active listening, and a belief in the power of therapeutic connection. She draws on a strong foundation of nursing experience and well-developed communication skills to create a safe, supportive space for healing and growth. Depending on patient needs and preferences, Megan can provide medication management, psychotherapy, or both.
Outside the clinic, Megan finds joy in Alaska’s great outdoors—running, hiking, and skiing—and stays inspired through podcasts and books on therapy and mental health. She also enjoys unwinding with a good novel and values quality time with family and friends, which keeps her grounded and connected.
